Glasssuckers explores drifting between the ritual and virtual, how the perceptually isolated experience of entering either state is communicated, and more intensely the obtrusion of one individual experience on another – between performers, their surroundings, and other bodies. Using ritualized movement to enter the virtual, a dimension ‘almost-materializing’, the performers move along the glass exterior of the museum, sanctifying the surface as a membrane of flux.
