Mads Hemmingsen

Mads L. Hemmingsen (1998) invites the audience for a glimpse inside Copenhagen actors’

cafeteria on a side street of the Danish Broadway. He is interested in the distinction between

backstage and frontstage performances. When does the acting stop? He explores these

differences with a collection that takes inspiration from staples of the menswear wardrobe.

By manipulating fabrics and rethinking sewing techniques, he plays with the suggestions of

these garments on- or off stage.
