Thesis: The Subconscious Mind Of Paintings
1. A dark efficacy eating away at the legible 2. String of consciousness 3. Finger
A selection of oil paintings hanged in a bright room on a crisp light blue wall. The paintings are mostly brown and the paint is thin, glossy and skin like. They depict a dark efficacy eating away at the legible. It, the efficacy, being something intended that disintegrates the recognisable. It renders the figurative dubious, ambiguous and rotten. You could call it a chemical abstraction that dissolves what could be, and so we end up with a disfigurative painting.
