Thesis: If there is no place Where is my body?

The space in-between—a moment between tragedy and comedy, surrender and resilience, alienation and closeness—holds a certain tension, an energy that allows the contemporary world to be decoded. These liminal instances seem to slip through, to be disregarded akin to "dead time" in computing when a system is idle, or non-productive. They create a sense of timelessness and allow one to notice otherwise overlooked temporalities, including the often forgotten temporality of one’s own body.
In this work, the potential of intimacy is suggested, yet isn’t allowed to develop. This elusiveness prompts a contemplation of identity, belonging, and the relation of the body and space. All are somehow intertwined with a search and craving for place.
The installation and video work with repetition, of shapes, movements, forming a loop. Phrases that are deeply intimate lose their integrity when repeated, doubting the profoundness of the narration with an illusion of familiarity. A thin line amid connection and alienation comes forth.
