Public Rietveld & Projects curates Eight Cubic Meters, a public gallery in the heart of Amsterdam, since 2013. Eight times a year there is a new exhibition by Rietveld students, that can be visited 24/7 in the Sint Nicolaasstraat. The gallery was first opened in the eighties.

Call for applications!

Public & Projects is looking for three student (collaborative) projects to be shown in Eight Cubic Metres this school year: 

From 22 November 2023 to 17 January 2024

From 31 January to 27 March 2024

From 10 April to 5 June 2024

Public & Projects has been curating Eight Cubic Meters since 2013. Eight times a year there is a new exhibition by Rietveld students (or alums) that can be visited 24/7 in the Sint Nicolaasstraat.  

We can offer a production budget of 200 euros per project (including taxes), an opening and photo documentation.

We would like to receive a short project proposal (including images and/or drawings), motivation why you want to show in Eight Cubic Meters and why it supports you in a broader sense, by Wednesday 11 October 2023. Please send your proposal to projects@rietveldacademie.nl attn. Vere van Hal and indicate your preference for which period.
