The Gerrit Rietveld Academie invites you to its Open Day 2025!
This is the perfect moment to wander around our buildings and have a look at all departments, including the Preparatory Course, Orientation Course and DOGtime (part-time bachelor's programme).
During this day, students and teachers will be present to talk to you and answer all your questions about studying art and design at our art academy.

Programme
During the Open Day there will be workshops, presentations and performances to check out. You can also join a guided tour through the buildings. Our students are your tour guides and since we are an internationally oriented university, we may be able to answer questions in your native language! You will find the full programme including times and locations mid-January on our website.
Portfolio talks
You can have your portfolio evaluated by one of our teachers during a portfolio talk, so don't forget to bring your portfolio to the Open Day. The portfolio talks are scheduled via pre-registration, which you can sign up for here. Once you've registered, you'll receive a confirmation and more info about your scheduled talk around mid-January.

The admission procedure for the Gerrit Rietveld Academie consists of two rounds. The first round is consultation interview. From 1 November 2023 onwards you can book an appointment for this consultation interview. Our regular online interviews run from November 2023 until mid-February 2024. After a positive assessment of your portfolio in the first admission round, you pass on to the second admission round: the entrance examination.
