Thesis: Daydreams/Diamond

With screens becoming more and more dominant in daily life, our experience of the world is both flattened and broadened. Living in densely populated cities many people hardly ever see a horizon anymore. Screens become a place for images that represent morality, love, identity, and experience in general. While digital media play a big part in polarization, they can also serve the purpose of bridging gaps caused by wealth, culture, time and distance, giving limitless possibility for views into a world that is ours, but that we don’t belong to. Because of the overwhelming amount of impressions left on us by our constructed environment, it is at this point a luxury to step back and contemplate, thus the most honest expression of experience is the fastest one, however rough, blunt and unconsidered it may be.
