GERRIT RIETVELD ACADEMIE FASHION SHOW 2019
On Saturday 8 June, the Fashion department of the Gerrit Rietveld Academie presented FASHION SHOW 2019, featuring the collections of this year's fashion graduates and a selection of work by the first- and second-year fashion students.
FASHION SHOW 2019 showcased the results of a personal and experimental learning process of this year's fashion graduates: Laetitzia Campbell, Erika Jonasson, Karis Lindelien, Mika Perlmutter, Bodil Ouédraogo, Krystian Sokołowski & Vincent Ludwig and Emma Torsteinrud who offered a challenging perspective on the medium of fashion, with a feeling for the contemporary and the visionary. The designers related to their various cultural backgrounds while questioning Western reality and identity. It is striking how they dared to escape conventions and work intuitively.
Graphic design of the campaign was created by Lou Lasvenes, Vincent Ludwig and Lejla Verheus as part of their graduation work.
