Thesis: Trigger Warning: We Must All Become Angels, Subtitle: Artificial Repair and Sacred Witnessing in AI Art
My graduation work is a three-channel video installation, created with real video footage of my family and AI-generated images of our lost ancestral community. The installation weaves together decontextualized interview clips with family members and different layers of lived realities: the one lost to time but made visible again, and the one never questioned as the truth. By revealing what remains, in memory, oral history and visual evidence, I try to fill in the gaps in our story lost to immigration, while also questioning our role in narrating the past.
