My work focuses on perception and the digital image.
By using digital cameras and image software I create images through a scientific method. This scientific method is a record keeping of all my aesthetic choices and becomes data for the next image I create. For this reason, I invented the term 'aesthetic data' to describe how I use the deconstruction of a digital image. When I create such an abstract image I mainly work with the luminosity or brightness, contrast, structure, warmth, saturation and colour of the image. The choice to combine or to apply these elements in a certain manner, and simultaneously to index, creates 'aesthetic data’.
