Bein van Vilsteren

Stemming from and in parallel with my work its most recent developments, I wish to share my project Shapeshift, consisting of five altered partition walls with on each a work of mine. Any intention of mine that would bring new works to the table, would suffice for this project presenting ‘psychology as a residue’: I would eventually appropriate myself.

 

I liked to invest thought into notions of Selfhood, Psychology and Personality, and Authorship. I consider for example the idea of Actuality as a fine portal to access such notions, as this promises awareness of whom or which places we are talking about to be ‘here’ or ‘there’: an anchor to both hold on to yet also heavily examine. Amidst the ocean of forever subsequently neighboring times, spaces, people (animals) and things, all within one step: the multiplicity singularity promises.
