Packaged Ecologies from Buttermilk Alley 5
What would the world look like if we were embodied by the garbage we produced rather than the products we purchase? The body of my graduation work, Packaged Ecologies from Buttermilk Alley 5, is an installation where I address representation of the Self by utilizing the individualized waste we produce covering large and small ceramic forms. I aim to learn more about the consequences of the consumerist and conflict-driven world while highlighting the absurd nature of our purchasing power. Environments, ecosystems, and the sublime are important notions that drive my curiosity towards the work.
