Thesis: SCORE
'This series of works represent multiple layers of intentions and their archive through a film and framed costumes.
"One two pass the real or the imaginary one, two teams becoming one"
A short fiction film combining team sports and dance scores.
« Two teams are competing during a heated football match when suddenly, the ball is gone! »
Part of my research on the usage of game features within performance and dance. This film is a documentation of movements and encounters within a game. The players become performers when the ball disappears. They read each other’s gestures to understand the game and strategically place themselves on the field. It is the player’s personality that dictates the choreography.
Kick-starting and rounding up this series, the used costumes also tell stories.
The framed costumes with the sweat and traces of usage, hold the player's excitement and movements into one last position. Becoming a trophy, and a preciously wrapped parcel full of memory.
