FANTANA

The artist started out recreating different versions of this fountain. The first one a tiny sculpture that could sit on the palm of your hand, another version large and spouting water. In all iterations the artist tries, in different ways, to block open access to the fountain. By now it was clear that he was not so much pre-occupied with the object, as with the recreation of the relation between the viewer and the object. Perhaps hoping to imbue the viewer with a longing that was his own. The next iterations seem to confirm this. He continues to create physical barriers between the audience and the fountain. Here it is worthwhile mentioning that Vladimir is also a writer of fiction and in that capacity is used to wanting to get inside the heads of his readers.
