My practice as an image-maker moves around notions of magical realism, encompassing staged and fictional elements as visible hints towards the subjective nature of images and their production.
In working with and through archives and collections, (hi)stories of intimacy, solitude, disintegration and enchantment are weaved together with an ongoing regard towards issues of agency and self-representation.
'I was born on top of a hill, rounded by its soft edges' is the temporary dwelling place in this ongoing research of images and their signification, in which the negotiation between fading memories and decomposing organic matter is one of re-animation and re-imagination.
