  • GRA Awards 2018 Winners announced

    News
    Every year, a GRA Award (Gerrit Rietveld Academie Award) is given to promising graduates in the fields of Fine Arts and Design. Judged by an independent jury, they are chosen to take part in the  SELECTED exhibition  later this year. The winners of the GRA Awards 2018 have been announced on Saturday 7 July at 4pm.

    Both Ninamounah Langestraat and Boris Kollår won the Frans Molenaar Prijs 2017. Couturier Frans Molenaar initiated the Frans Molenaar Prijs in 1995. The price is meant for young talent.

    Koen Jacobs won the Overduinprijs 2017. Ever since 1992 this award goes to a promissing young designer on a yearly basis. This year it’s the first time the award by the “Stichting Henk en Ria Overduinfonds” goes to a Rietveld Academie-graduate. Koen Jacobs receives the award for his graduation piece, called: The Artificial Kingdom. The jury praises the combination of craftsmanship, stratification
