In the 5th episode Nina van Hartskamp talks with gallery owner and artist Diego Diez about the gallery world in the Netherlands and beyond. Why did Diego decide to open a gallery after studying fine arts at the Rietveld? How does the gallery world work? And what can you do as an artist, if you want to sell your work?
Diego Diez is an artist and dealer born in Spain in 1994. They studied at the Fine Arts department at the Rietveld (2016-2019) and has been running different non-profit projects from 2017 until 2022. In 2022, after several unsuccessful grant applications, they decided to open a commercial gallery in Amsterdam: diez.
