The Berlagefonds
About
The Berlagefonds is the school fund of the Gerrit Rietveld Academie since 1958. With this fund, the academy finances projects and supports students, which are not financed by government funding.
How does the Berlagefonds work?
Each year, € 6,000 is made available for graduation projects.
Students in the graduation year of the Bachelor's and Master's degree will be sent an invitation by email in February to submit an application for their graduation project. The deadline for this applications is early March. In mid-March, the committee consisting of a designer, a visual artist and the chairperson of the Berlage Fund will meet to review the submissions. The list of awarded projects will be published on Intranet.
Small contributions
The student counselor also has an amount from the Berlagefonds at her disposal, which she can use to provide a small amount of financial support to individual students in need.
It is not possible to apply for this; each situation is reviewed individually.
Donations
In addition to the required tuition fees, the Gerrit Rietveld Academie asks all students and co-workers to contribute to the Berlagefonds. The profit from merchandise sold during the annual Graduation Show also goes to the fund.
Donations to the Berlagefonds are particularly welcome. Would you like to financially contribute to the fund? You can transfer your contribution to: IBAN NL76 INGB 0656 9109 76, in the name of Berlagefonds, Amsterdam.
