Where the Words are Waiting
The installation forges a space for questions that asks: what is an interspace? It is the start of a conversation about contemporary fairy tales, afterimages and dying coral, about Noah's ark that saves the last plants. In the films, a space is created for ambiguity. The ongoing process of understanding is visualized, with a cohesive stage for searching, researching, sensing and listening. Catharina Vergeer questions the idea of language barriers by translating ambiguity, thereby underlining the layering of language. The work resulted in an installation of seven films.
