In addition to the weekly three three-hour classes at the academy, the Preparatory Course requires an average of four hours per week to complete and organise your work for classes and assessments at home.
It is also important to maintain dialogue with fellow participants and to keep an eye on art and design-related events in and outside of Amsterdam and the Rietveld Academie (which will take at least four hours per month).
Since the programme requires quite some time and commitment, we advise against studying at another institute simultaneously with the Preparatory Course.
