It is with fond memories and great gratitude that we bid farewell to Rob Schröder (1950 - 2024).
Rob passed away last weekend after a brief illness. He was involved with the Gerrit Rietveld Academie from 1982 to 2021, later with the Sandberg Institute as co-founder, head and lecturer of the Design Department.
As a filmmaker, designer and teacher, Rob was intensely involved in the development of the radical position of the discipline over the past decades, guiding hundreds of students.
We wish his family, friends, colleagues and former students much strength with this great loss.
