Thesis: Private territory
Jonghwan has been researching various approaches to resist undeniable powers as an individual. Such as time, gravity, fate, impulsiveness, and systems. Undeniable powers contain the essence of human life. The chronic melancholy that arose from that has formed the overall atmosphere of his works. He has cited Deleuze's nomadism as a key concept in his work. The concept refers to a state of continuous movement, becoming, and deterritorialization, rejecting fixity and embracing the flux of existence. The works begin with the personal and are conveyed in general language. Numerous metaphors found in everyday life overlap and are revealed in a paradoxical and humorous way.
