Thesis: THE STAGED FACE
Camille Doussy’s collection deals with the unlimited aspiration for enhancement. She responds to upgrades, developments and expansions of technologies and bodies. By extracting shapes from enhanced objects or animals, she highlights and transposes specific elements and turns them into garments. By deconstructing images, she questions their impact on the assumption that anything can be modified, and the influence that can have on our ways of thinking about our surroundings and ourselves. This leads to a compression that exploits the original image.
