Fashion (Week) System is a publishing project of an extract of Fashion System written by Roland Barthes and published in 1967. During Fashion Week every designer and brand tries to present the best show of the season. It’s not only about clothes and trends anymore but a real need to invade all the social media platforms with a picture of the show. I wanted with this project to confront a past and archived content with the latest September Paris Fashion week content. We can still consider Roland Barthes knowledge and analysis as relevant today, but would that be the same for all the materials, energy and images from the latest September Paris Fashion Week? The idea was to play with the notion of timelessness and insert myself as a part of the Fashion System. It means working hard with care and passion for something that will probably be forgotten after the next show.
