Can you leave the door open? (video, 3min43)
This film installation dives into the imaginary and materialistic world of childhood. The film looks at social violence through the eyes of a child and raises the question: How thick can the walls of a child's bedroom be? I like to use playfulness to address urgent issues. Through this series of functional sculptures, I explore my childhood materialistic fantasies. In this space of in-between lies the ambiguity of a child's imaginary settled in reality. By using playfulness as a tool for political gestures, my work counteracts violence and acts in resistance.
