What do I find funny and why? 'Thinking about Funny' is an exploration and research looking into my own sense of humour, where it comes from and how it functions.
Graduation work: Image to text
How does image translate to text? In my work 'Image to text' I propose the diagram as a meeting point where I hope to emphasise the creative and expressive aspects of image and text, in an interaction between me as a maker and you as a viewer. My interpretation prompts your interpretation. I want to explore the ways in which the interpretation of image and text varies depending on previous experiences.
The installation was activated throughout the 2023 Gerrit Rietveld Academie Graduation show with an improvised performative reading/storytelling.
