The Alexander Tutsek-Stiftung implements a large support program with which it funds national and international glass schools as well as glass departments at art academies. The foundation’s goal is to improve the training for students who would like to work with the material glass in art. It supports diverse educational institutions on a continuous basis over a period of several years. The backing allows the institutions to carry out workshops with guest lecturers as well as exhibition projects, for instance, or to acquire necessary technical equipment such as a new hot-glass kiln.
The support program began with the Institute of Ceramic and Glass Arts at Koblenz University of Applied Sciences in Höhr-Grenzhausen. In the summer of 2018 the Berufsfachschule für Glastechnik und Glasgestaltung of the Staatliche Glasfachschule Rheinbach was taken up in the program. With the support of the glass department of the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam starting with the winter semester 2019, the foundation is now also involved on an international basis.
