Sophie Alice Rintala

Inspired by the physical infrastructure of public transportation Sophie developed garments that combine a variety of fabrics with laser cutting and traditional sewing techniques.

The use of leather and silk fabrics contrast each other and further shape the movement of the garments. Day in day out people commute in various ways their work and back home. Leather straps are interwoven into other layers of fabric, they mimic the intricacy of multilayered infrastructures of commuting.
