-THE 2ND BEFORE (K.O/KISS)
-WHO WANTS TO BE THIRD ANYWAY
-LOSING MY GLASSES IN THE WATER TWO SUMMERS IN A ROW
-NOT BEING ABLE TO SAY NO TO A PARTY
-FORGETTING HOW TO USE MY WORDS TO EXPRESS MY FEELINGS
-IT'S NOT THAT I DIDN'T WANT TO GIVE YOU A HUG
-CALLING YOU A LOSER AS A SIGN OF AFFECTION
THE 2ND BEFORE (K.O/KISS) is a constellation of six water carriers,
six art crates and one winners’ podium. It’s an ode to failure and, consequently, an homage to the attempt. Functionality, expectations and desire are explored as ever reachable finishing lines. Abel Kars confronts fragility through playfulness and the materiality of clay.
The 2nd before (K.O/Kiss) is a reminder to laugh and cry and cry and laugh about it all again.
