"the clouds parted, I let you go''
In my graduation work I research fragility and stability, separation and absence in a range of words and objects. I combine text with a couch and with the image of a chain. A chain made from ceramics is breakable, my words stitched on fabric are heavy. The couch for me represents a ritual of the everyday and a notion of home and intimacy. The chain speaks of bondage, enslavement, addiction, torture, but also of trauma and longing for connection and belonging.
