Astra, 2020.
The sculptural Installation Astra, 2020 is an installation which both explores architectural as sculptural aspects. It consists of several organic shaped and organ inspired glazed ceramic sculptures. The ceramic sculptures are supported by textile natural dyed sandbags that are stacked on top of each other and form a path through the entire installation. The sculptures are interwoven in the natural dyed textile patterns who together form a tent/cave/womb like sculpture which is supported by big wooden branches. Astra is meant to be entered by the viewer and experienced in its delicateness, hardness and softness which she explores in her materials, guiding you through the space.
