In times of hyper stimulation and abundance of self
awareness, connecting with the present and oneself,
becomes a practice.
It mostly does not happen naturally anymore.
The women I photograph I choose intuitively,
there is a feeling, somehow a mirror towards myself.
Through conversations I create a more intimate space for us to be in.
I take something that was organised,
something that was staged and I turn it into something natural.
Something intimate and something real.
This is about them as much as it is about me.
Sometimes it is a pleasant moment and sometimes it
is uncomfortable but it is about staying present.
