SPANDOEK DAGBOEK consists of a series of banners distributed throughout the city. Each exclaiming their own text, they aim to provide a momentary pause of daily routine.

They call for simple action or instead call for passiveness. They incentivise a thought and state the obvious.

These one-liners will mostly be non-sensical expressions: questioning language itself and at the same time making use of banners as a medium to ask for attention of the viewer. Hereby they will pose a contrast: a medium that asks for on-the-spot recognition that will display a message that is not (on first glance) of immediate importance. Through this contrast, they aim to highlight the poetry of the mundane, the abstract; the everyday, the taken for granted.
