Drawing from Hollywood film production aesthetics and hyper-capitalistic imagery, the video follows a person in a performance capture suit. The body mapping presents a possibility for the character to become potentially anything, with the human presence transferring into any kind of digitally constructed body or being.
This work explores the machine gaze, as visual information is mostly constructed for computers with deep learning software indifferent of being viewed by humans. It questions the human gaze, challenging our learned language of images. We watch. But what happens when we’re under the gaze of the Other?
