Thesis: Painting Codes
I work with the insufficiency of the photograph as a memory. By using my family's photographic archive as source material for paintings, I reflect upon the interest to document the bodily memory through photography, through the medium specificity of painting -and history, I mediate the process of forgetting, which once the photograph is passed down through generations, turns the subjects anonymous.
