Recourse 1900: Contemporary Prints by Gerrit Rietveld Academie Students

Students of Graphic Design at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie have created new work inspired by the Van Gogh Museum’s collection of French prints. Recourse literally means ‘turn around’, and in their designs, the students cast their minds back to the 19th century. Experiments with shape, colour, typography, digital and analogue reproduction and printing techniques ultimately resulted in 28 new, unique graphic designs.
