Vacancy: Student Photographer (Working Student) – Public & Projects

Public & Projects at the Rietveld Academie is looking for a student photographer to join the team! This is an exciting opportunity to develop your skills while contributing to the visual documentation and promotion of the academy.

Public & Projects

Public & Projects is Rietveld’s communications and projects department. We provide internal and external communications, are in charge of the website, social media, newsletters, the TV screens in the hall and guide many campaigns by graphic design students.

Public & Projects also organises the open days, exhibitions like Eight Cubic Meters, and the monthly televised show RietveldTV. Also, we initiate collaborations with internal and external partners to showcase the activities of Rietveld students and alums to the outside world. 

Position

As a working student photographer, you will play a key role in capturing the essence of the Rietveld Academie’s activities, including exhibitions, public events, workshops, and other key moments at the academy (e.g. the Graduation Show and the Open Day). You will work closely with the Public & Projects team to produce high-quality images that reflect the atmosphere of the academy and our collaborations. 

What profile do you have?

- You’re studying at the Rietveld Academie, preferably first or second specialisation year. 

- Strong portfolio showcasing a range of photography skills, including event photography.

- Proficiency in photo editing software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop).

- Ability to work independently.

- Flexibility to work on occasional evenings or weekends for events.

Employment conditions

- Flexible working hours to accommodate your studies.

- 4 hours a month (= € 69.13 gross per month), with regular opportunities for more hours.

- Good fringe benefits include holiday allowance of 8% and an end-of-year-bonus of 8.3%.
