Monotone Destruction

We all have a voice which serves many functions, yet do we always use our voice to its full potential? The relief of the vocal power is often forgotten, even the simplest scream can be freeing. Monotone Destruction is a work which originates from a forest in visit at Amsterdam Bos together with the Weaving class of TXT1. On this short trip we were assigned to interact with the forest and at the end create a collective performance together with TXT1. The forest as an open space is incredibly voluminous and has the capacity to be loud. Wanting to break the boundary of the limited expression in which we use the voice on a daily basis, I distorted the body of work of a simple scream which carried monotone qualities enhancing it to something more vigorous through an edited audio piece and splitting images.
