The Rietveld Pavilion is the student run project space of The Gerrit Rietveld Academie and The Sandberg Insituut.

The Pavilion provides a platform for students and alumni to experiment, to discuss and to learn by making use of the autonomous space. The aim of the pavilion is to keep the space active and alive, and to bring students together to exchange ideas and to support them in collaborative projects.

In academic year 2019-2020 the Rietveld Pavilion was administrated by the Latin American & Caribbean Union. The LCU is an initiative within the Rietveld Academie and the Sandberg Instituut aiming to rebuild the space we hold within the school by nurturing our mixed community of students with a more inclusive and diverse approach. Where do our thoughts overlap? Where do we meet halfway? This year we'll explored together the in-betweenness of our time, transit and disrupt, framing the Pavilion on non-fixity, "non-placeness" and malleability.
