Travels of the Librarian
"Travels of the Librarian" revolves around the Dutch librarian and archivist Annie Scheltema and the travels she undertook on behalf of the International Institute for Social History in the years leading up to the second world war. Narrated through multiple voices and documents, and structured around the non-linear sequence of dated stamps in her passport, the work deals with questions of agency, labour and identity in relation to historical (re-)writing.
