People wearing clothes, white ones
I started my project by handing out a pair of jeans, a t-shirt, and a sweater asking people to wear them for five days in a row. The white clothes served as blank canvases during the wearing experience, taking the imprint of their daily life and preserving each person's momentary actions. How do people deal with what they get? In what ways can a plain sweater influence somebody's daily life? However, these pieces changed throughout the process and witnessed the wearer during the day, it took its own path and brought an unpredictable result. Receiving the shreds of evidence from real life let me able to create a parallel direction to the research in a more abstracted manner. I wanted to see if it was possible to turn my observations into new archetypes which reflect on how the body and the garment influence each other and vice versa. Doing so I am hoping to translate the imprint people left behind and enlarge these gestures.
