Business In The Front: UNBELIEVABLE

You are invited to the exhibition and party will take place at Papaverhoek 27 in Amsterdam Noord. They say you have to see it to believe it, so you better be there! And you better stay late for the afterparty at Cornerstore, from 23:00 to 3:00. 

 

Business in the Front is an artist-and-student-led organisation, working on creating events in the grey area between exhibition and party. We wish to paint that grey area in bold yellow and welcome everyone into it. As a group we are interested in dualities and extremes, the tight and the loose, contradictions and compliments, the inevitable and the avoidable, the exhibition and the party, facets and facades. For this edition, we invited artists, performers and designers to work under the theme of the UNBELIEVABLE. Both as an exclamation and as an adjective of disbelief, surprise, scepticism and flabbergast. We are interested in the duality between a front of sensationalism, pretentiousness and acting larger than life, but with a back of scepticism, deception and being unreliable.

 

Exhibiting artists: Nynne Pors, Rubin Nadiah Verhoog, Matylda Giraudo and Dagmar Sahl Jensen, Jean-Philippe Paumier, Rita Batievsky, Alexander Germanier and Basil Knill, Anna Orlinski and Gregor Leiprecht, Manshee Zheng and Lucie Lelièvre!

 

Entry is free, there will be food by the wonderful Dirty[plates], plenty of drinks, good music, performances and of course amazing works. So make sure to bring friends, foes, lovers, colleagues, your dog, your favourite news reporter, puppets, a clown or two, some con-men, the biggest gossipers you know...
