The Garden Department is very pleased to announce a collaboration with French transdisciplinary artist Johanna Tagada Hoffbeck, whose poetic, collaborative, and gently rebellious social practice includes founding The Gardening Drawing Club. Since 2022, the project based on the artist’s Oculus Horti Hypothesis, has offered free holistic arts and horticulture workshops to adults and children in England, collaborating with art centres, community gardens, free spaces and libraries, welcoming 1830 participants to date.

On Friday 14th November during our Garden Day, Johanna will facilitate a session of The Gardening Drawing Club’s workshop titled ‘(Almost) Ikebana’ 14:00 - 16:00,
as well as deliver a talk titled ‘Arts & Horticulture : On Loving and Rebelling’ 17:00 - 18:20 in project space FL101. This afternoon will be guided by Amalie Sveske Ourø of The Garden Department.
