This immersive textile installation transforms emotional experiences into layered red fabric, exploring the weight of depression, memory, and healing. Rooted in personal struggles and shaped by my graduation thesis, the work draws from journaling and deep engagement with literature and film. Inspired by authors like Rousseau, Cioran, and Hesse, and filmmakers like Ingmar Bergman, the project materializes the emotional intensity of solitude, insomnia, passion, and inner turmoil. Multiple layers of distinct fabric elements—each dyed, embroidered, knotted, burned out, or woven using different techniques—represent specific emotional states. These pieces cascade from the ceiling, forming a walk-through landscape that envelops the viewer in shifting shades and textures of red. Rather than symbolizing love and passion, red here evokes suffocation, vulnerability, and transformation. Alongside the installation, a companion book collects literary excerpts and personal reflections, bridging reading and feeling. This project marks a turning point in my practice, moving beyond print into material storytelling and spatial expression.
