The Model is a short experimental documentary filmed in Den Haag during the THEIMUN conference 2025. In Model United Nations (MUN), while in session, the delegates and secretariat are asked to privilege a new subjectivity. Here, young adults become actors in scenarios meant to mimic the “real world” motions of international diplomacy under the UN Charter. The Model recognizes MUN conferences as a restaging or regurgitation rather than a generative space, and in doing so, mourns its actors' political potentialities.
