Thesis: waiting for a tanker to cross the horizon
My practice is anchored in my urge to hold on to, to a moment, a person, a movement. It stems from a desire to somehow remain in contact with that which no longer is, or will soon no longer be. I attempt to handle this ephemerality and temporality itself, and give it form. My work forms a record of this search, the attempt to somehow note an instance, that which resists being held, before it slips away again, and most of the time, my inevitable failure to do so. It questions what remains, if anything in this ever-changing world.
