I paint with oil on multiple surfaces such as canvas, wood and cardboard. The materiality of the surface is very important and in some works i mix sculptural elements with painting. Materials such as wood and metal speak together with the paintings. Thematically, in a lot of my recent work, i deal with the loss of contact with nature and particularly with animals. These paintings are about perverse attempts of regaining this contact and animals returning in dream states. To me painting is my preferred medium because i always perceive paintings in a way very similar to dreams and always as a reflection on psychological states.
