Eirini Kakopierou

Eirini Kakopierou (a.k.a. Karagöza) is a Cypriot multi-media maker and performer.

They use socio-political satire as an initiative for collective conversation through theatricality and diy making.

 

During the graduation show, they will screen for the first time their drag short-film 'Real Dicks', their short documentary 'Who is Karagöz?' alongside an interactive shadow puppet theater.

 

Their thesis 'A makeout between shadow olay and drag or coming out to my father' reflects the essence of the afforementioned works, as well as their own way of existing;

 

Using shadow-puppet theater and drag as their tools of communication and as a perspective on this shit-show of a world we live in.
