Thesis: On the public bathroom
The bathroom is a space of conflicting needs, its use being defined by its cleanliness and its privacy. In public bathrooms its use makes us paranoïd of contamination, afraid to touch the seat, developing a strategy of covering or hovering. Several times the female urinal has been produced to provide a more hygienic and efficient experience.
Yet the implementation has often failed, because of privacy, clothing, unfamiliarity or just uncomfortability.
Urinals out in the open are quite confrontational less private than a stal one is supposed interface their body with the pisspot.
Maybe this goes against the notions of femininity, modest about our bodily functions at risk of being judged.
Let my art be the excuse to let go.
