On Saturday 8 June at 17.00, the Fashion department of the Gerrit Rietveld Academie presents FASHION SHOW 2019, featuring the collections of this year's fashion graduates and a selection of work by the first- and second-year fashion students.
FASHION SHOW 2019 showcases the results of a personal and experimental learning process of this year's fashion graduates: Laetitzia Campbell, Erika Jonasson, Karis Lindelien, Mika Perlmutter, Bodil Ouédraogo, Krystian Sokolowski and Emma Tornsteinrud who offer a challenging perspective on the medium of fashion, with a feeling for the contemporary and the visionary. The designers relate to their various cultural backgrounds while questioning Western reality and identity. It is striking how they dare to escape conventions and work intuitively.
